FareFair aims to streamline the process of calculating shared restaurant expenses. Users input the number of parties involved and customize individual settings, including shared items such as food, alcohol, and extras, with each party's responsibility typically set at 100%. This feature is particularly useful for cases where participants wish to handle the cost of alcoholic beverages separately. Users then enter the overall bill amount, tax, alcohol charges, and additional expenses. A built-in calculator assists when detailed breakdowns are unavailable. After selecting a tip percentage, the app displays the total bill and individual contributions. Additionally, users can save groups of friends for future calculations by inputting only the relevant bill details next time.

FareFair offers several default configurations to simplify data entry, all of which are customizable to suit individual preferences.
